Unbeaten Glasgow Rocks win title

In their first year as the newly named Glasgow Rocks, St Maurice’s Basketball Club have also lifted their first National title as the Senior Women went unbeaten throughout the season. An immense achievement when you consider that in the season 2008-09 they finished 5th a full 13 points adrift of last year’s winner. However, 2009-10 season belongs to Glasgow Rocks, defensively they led the whole of Scotland at any level and gender giving up less than 30 points a game to clinch the league title with 2 games to spare. If they repeat that feat next year it is tough to see how they won’t retain their title in 2010-11.
