Teacher programme

Basketball Scotland is delighted to have launched the new Teacher In-Service Programme. This is the first time Basketball Sccotland have been able to offer such a comprehensive teacher in-service programme for schools.

This exciting new programme consists of 11 courses and will offer teacher in-service ranging from P1 through to S6.

Each 2 hour module will be accompained by a resource manual and a set of activity cards. The activity cards offer suggested session plans. A further resource on ‘Developing a High School Basketball Team’ is also being produced. The following modules are now on offer:

Primary:

P1-3: The Early Years

P4-5: Introducing the Fundamental Skills of Basketball through a Games Based Approach

P6-7: Developing the Fundamental Skills of Basketball through a Games Based Approach

Playground Games (1 hour module which can be run in conjunction with one of the above modules)
