Appointment: West Lothian Wolves Community Coach

basketballscotland is pleased to announce that Grant Dickson (Pictured below) has been appointed as West Lothian Community Coach.

Grant will be working as part of basketballscotland’s communities team, task managed by West Lothian Wolves and West Lothian Council to deliver coaching in West Lothian and work with key partners in the area to develop youth basketball for the club.

This is an exciting project which was made possible by Spalding and Sportsmatch investment. Both basketballscotland and West Lothian Wolves are excited about the impact that the newly appointed community coach will have on the club’s youth programme. Grant, who was ‘Young Coach of the Year for the season 10/11’ is excited about the prospect of working for his club and hopes to make a difference by getting more youth players in the wolves’ development pathway.

Malcolm Currie, Wolves’ Chairman is also delighted with the appointment :’We are really pleased to offer Grant this position.  Having a dedicated person working in the schools to promote our club and the sport will help us build a good base of players at the under 12 and under 14 level, which will allow us to complete the player pathway from under 12 age group right up to senior men and women.  We are excited about the potential growth our club will experience over the next three years.
