East & Central U14 Girls RDL – Day 5

On Sunday February 19th the fifth competition day of the East & Central RDL took place in three different venues St.Augustine’s RC HS, Forrester HS and Stevenson College in Edinburgh.

Eight teams looking for four playoffs spots in the most important competition day so far with seven games around the capital. Tough day for some of the teams with three key matches like West Lothian Wolves … what a performance for them !!! Three victories against Polonia Phoenix, Midlothian Madness and East Lothian Peregrines with the 2010/11 U12 RDL MVP, Leah Stewart, averaging 23.3 points and 12.5 rebounds per game and playoff place for the Wolves.

Clark Eriksson Fury was another team with something to celebrate. After defeating East Lothian Peregrines 34-16, behind another great game of their guards Norvel & McCormick, the Central club secures a place at the playoffs finishing with a 4-3 record in the Regular Season.

Highland Bears continues with their winning streak and finished regular season 7-0, undefeated and top seeded for the playoffs after two victories against Phoenix and Kool Kats with Lisle as scoring leader and Anderson assisting well to everyone in her team.

The next competition day will be March 18th st St.Augustine’s RC HS. With three teams with a playoffs ticket (Bears, Wolves and Fury), the last one will be decided between Knights and Kool Kats to confirm our Final Four, preview step to the big Meadowbank final game.
