Thirteen Candidates Attend Floor Officials Course In the West!

Sunday saw the completion of this seasons West Level 1 Floor Officials Course. It was attended by 13 candidates from around the West of Scotland keen on becoming basketball officials. This course was ran over two days in order for the candidates to gain a good knowledge of basketball rules, mechanics and what to look out for during game situations. In order for the referee’s to gain match experience the course was attached onto the West RDL at the Lagoon Leisure Centre on Sunday. This allowed the new recruits to demonstrate what they had learned over the weekend. Congratulations to all of the referee’s for completing the first stage of the course! basketballscotland would also like to thank the Lagoon Leisure Centre for supporting the weekends course.

As there is around 9 candidates on a waiting list for the next available Level 1 Floor Officials Course in the West, basketballscotland are now looking into a second course in the near future!
