National Game Committee Meeting – Increasing Participation in Womens’ Basketball – Sunday 11 March 2012

Women’s Basketball will be the topic of conversation at the next National Game Committee discussion forum.  This is your chance to contribute towards the way basketballscotland works to increase the number of females playing our sport in the coming years.

The National Game Committee is led by the Executive Board of basketballscotland and is in place to create the opportunity for “basketball people” on the Board to discuss “basketball issues” of national significance with “basketball people” within the sport.

The next National Game Committee is scheduled to take place at Forthbank Stadium on Sunday 11 March and will be chaired by basketballscotland board member and Senior Women’s Head Coach, Ian Gordon.

The forum will be discussing Women’s Basketball and more specifically how we can increase participation in the women’s game.

Sheila Begbie, Head of Girl’s and Women’s Football for the SFA will be providing some valuable insights into how the Scottish Football Association are working to increase the number of females playing club football.

The National Game Committee discussion forum on Womens’ Basketball is open to the basketball community to attend and input.  We need to hear your views on how we can move forward together to ensure we have more women playing basketball.
