Successful East & Central Coaching Clinic

Successful East & Central Coaching Clinic

Thanks to the support of Coaching Counts and Cashback for Communities basketballscotland is delighted to announce that the second international East & Central Coaching Clinic held November 26th at Stevenson College was a great success.

25 coaches from our regions were the audience, National League , RDL coaches, colleges, universities, high schools, former National Team coaches and absolute beginners with a brand new Getting Started award, everyone was there in a great coaching atmosphere.

Jordi Buendia was focused on dynamic practices for U14 players, trying to work as much aspects of the game as he could and trying to make sure the players never stop linking drills one after each other during two different practice sessions of 75 minutes each.

Between both sessions, Ian Gordon held an unforgettable and inspirational speech about coach-referee relationships at U14 level, who better than him with a vast experience of 20 years as FIBA referee and 10 seasons as BBL coach.

After two editions of our international coaching clinics it looks that thanks to our sponsors and a great answer of our regional coaches we are just working hard to find the right speakers for a third one in February 2012.

Thank you very much to City of Edinburgh Kings/KoolKats, West Lothian Wolves and Polonia Phoenix for providing their U14 players for the coaching drills.
