WS almost force a 24sec violation, but come away with the ball, WS waste a possesion and TO the ball, #7 LP shoots from the top of the key and scores. Good possesion by both teams, Lothian jus coming out on top with the score at 12-15 in their favour.
2nd Quarter
LP start with the ball, WS get the steal and #8 passes to #13 and #13 passes to #11 for FB lay-up. LP return with #5 getting pushed baseline ball and #33 scoring close range 2. WS TO, LP take the ball #33 gets fould goin to the basket 2 FT, makes both. #8 for WS gets fouled and sent to the FT makes 1 from 2, keeping it at 4pts difference. WS score again from #4. Timeout called for LP. WS ball, #17 LP steals ball from #11, #7 gets fouled goin to the basket shooting 2, misses both. WS and LP TO the ball at both ends, good D from WS forc a 24 second violation. #8 for WS scores 2 to tie the game at 19 each, LP return with a quick basket from #33. LP on FB #17 misses FB lay-up. Timeout called for WS with 25seconds to go score still 22-23. no score after the timeout from WS, but some good passing almost resulted in a last 2nd basket. The half finishes at 22 – 23 to Lothian Phoenix. There was alot of good movement and passing from both teams, very close game the 2nd half should be closely faught.

3rd Quarter

TO by WS and #5 scores for his 3rd unanswered basket.#7 on the FB misses the 2 and #7 puts it in on his 3rd attempt. time out called by WS 3mins 30secs into 3rd, 24 – 31. WS work the ball into the post to #8 and scores the baseline 2. LP TO the ball, #4 WS scores baseline 2. #33 LP steals the ball from #11 WS. #7LP gets fouled goin to basket shooting 2 from the FT, misses both shots. WS TO the ball and t gives LP the ball on the baseline, but LP TO the ball. #4 scores 2 from mid range for WS. 1pt game with 4min 20secs to go. #5 for LP missed his 1st attempt at the layp-up but gets OR and scores. #4 for WS scores immediately back for WS. #33 LP gets fouled and goes to the line scores 1 from 2. #13WS gets called for blocking #33, while #16 WS was on FB. 4th Quarter
LP start with the ball, good FB pass from #5 to #7 on the FB, but fail to score but get the OR and gets the put back, #4 for WS scores a baseline 2, from a good pass from #16. #33 LP gets fouled goin to the basket and shoots 2 missing both. #4 WS scores 2 from the baseline with a bank shot. good passing and movement from LP but un lucky to score, WS on the FB but also fail to score. #33 LP score close range 2 giving them a 5pt lead, time out called or LP with 6mins to go. score 39 – 44. #9 drives to the basket, misses but #4 gets OR and scores for 2 for WS. LP score back from #17. #4 WS gets fouled going to the basket shooting 2 misses both. LP’s ball. #13 gets ball from #33 LP and scores buzzer beater lay-up. #16 gets fouled going to the basket shoots 2 makes 1. #16 hustles and steals the ball from #17 LP. TO at both ends with no baskets scored. Time-out called by WS,with 3mins 9secs, 44-48. LP start with ball but TO, FB pass from #16 results in #4 scoring mid range 2. LP #5 drives the lane gets fouled, baseline ball LP. Time-out called for WS with 32sec to go and the score 47 – 51. 5 teamfouls, #16 WS is fouled out with his 5th foul. #7 for LP shooting 2 makes 1st and the 2nd with 28seconds to go., 6 pt game. LP baseline ball, #11 WS crosses lanes and fouls #33, shooting 2 from the FT, 17secs to go, misses both, #7 picks a pass for LP to take the ball and take control and run the clock down.
Was a close game all the way through the game, but Lothian came out on top more than West of Scotland. West of Scotland played tough D and gave Lothian a close game.
