Kings close the treble with SM win

1st quarter

EK win the tip, Kings take an early lead in the 1st quarter of the Senior Men’s cup final, 12-4 against St Mirren, #11 Colin Railley gets the basket and the foul, #4 Lee Reilly get the 3 on the buzzer. Kings go into the 2nd quarter up 21-8, Time Out!
Kings lead 29-12 in a very physical game, Tempers sore as kings pull away! 35-13, Kings go into the half in style hitting a long 3 ball.

3rd Quarter

SS to start the game, #14 SS gets fouled by #7 EK reaching in.  SS TO ball,  #13 gives full court pass  to #11  for easy lay-up,  EK move ball well to #5 and scores baseline 2.   SS fail to score, EK #15 posts up and get the 2 under pressure from #14.  time out called by EK 4 mins into 3rd, score 25 – 52.  SS get ball to #13 for short range 2.  EK and SS both give away the ball on offense.  #15 SS drives to the basket and draws the fould and makes the basket and the extra point from the FT.   #11 gets the steal from #7 EK, #11 on the FB gets blocked from #4.  EK then get a quick 2,  SS fail to score on offence even after a foul on the floor.   Good pass over the to to #14 SS and scores the lay-up.  #4 gives a quick bounce pass to #14 and drives to the basket and scores the big dunk.  SS get the ball from EK and score another quick 2.    #14 grabs an OR and misses 1st attempt and scores the put back.  2mins to go 38-59.  #15 EK at the FT  misses both shots.  #10 EK grabs a DR,  but fumbles the ball in transition SS ball. EK get the steal #10 scores easy 2.  1min to go 38-61.  steal from #11 but fails to score from #15 close range effort.  #5 EK scores baseline shot.  EK #5 score last basket of the quarter from the baseline for 2 points. 38-65.

4th quarter

EK start with #14 scores in the paint for 2 pts.  #11 gets blocked by #14 EK, #15 SS drives the baseline and draws rhe foul shooting 2,  misses 1st and the

2nd.  #15 beats his man misses the put in but #14 for the EK tips it in.  #15 for SS score for 2 in the paint. #14 EK grabs DR and #4 take ball up the court to set offence, #5 scores baseline 2. 5mins to go 40-71,  SS run through there offence but to no avail.  #10 picks off poor pass but misses a Fb lay-up from a good block from #11 SS.  #4 and #13SS combine well to score easy 2.   #14 EK scores baseline 2.  #15 SS strips the ball from #14 EK but SS lose the ball again from a steal from #4EK.  #15 gets called for blocking foul on #15 EK,  #15 shooting 2 from FT score them both.   #10 SS grabs OR and SS move the ball well but #10 EK steals the ball and scores the FB lay-up.  1min20 to go 44-76.  #11 gives good pass to #13, draws the foul and shoots 2 from 2 from the FT.  TO EK, #11 stops and takes a FB 3pointer. EK jus hold the ball for the last 10seconds.   final score 49 – 76 to the Edinburgh Kings.   The Edinburgh Kings dominated the whole court, DR and OR.  There was alot of good shots made from both teams, but the Kings were clear winners.  The Saints gave it there but were beaten by there better team at the end of the day.
