Kings 2nd Half Performance Seals Cup Win
1st Quarter
AT win tip but miss lay-up, EK score 2, AT score 2 back, EK score a 3, AT No7 score 3, the gets steal and gets winded, No 8 scores deep 3, 8-5 to EK, turnover by AT then EK turnover. Bad pass by EK, AT from sideline, 15 AT drives to basket scores the 2, both teams finding there rythm in the game with missed shots at both ends. No15 EK drives to basket and draws foul by 15 AT, baseline ball. EK turnover the ball AT offense. No 12 EK fouls No10 going to the basket, shooting 2,misses them both, score 7-10 to EK with 3 and half mins to go. EK scores easy lay-up. Excellent cut by no15 EK but misses easy lay-up, AT score midrange 2. No15 EK scores lay-up from fast break, No4 EK fouls No10 on the shot makes it and the FT, 3point play. No5 AT called for blocking foul. Time-out to kings with 1min 10sec to go, score 14 -12 to EK. AT’ ball from inbound, lose possession after travel, EK’s ball, AT get the ball good offensive rebounds, but no luck with the shots, EKs ball but turn it over again 14 AT drives to basket with seconds to go and gets the buzzer beater lay-up tying the score at 14 each. Simple mistakes at both end in the quarter but evenly matched offensively and defensively.
2nd Quarter
EK’s ball from the start, No15 EK drives but gets called for offensive charge, AT’s ball. No9 AT scores deep 2, No14 AT called for blocking foul, No15 EK shooting 2 but misses both. AT grab 3 OR and No9 gets the basket giveing a 4 point lead. Solid defence by AT, EK turn over the ball fast break was on but poor pass gives EK ball back. EK and AT hussle for rebound, jump ball given to AT. No15 AT gets big blcok on No4 EK on the fast break. No14 EK drives to basket dishes ball to No12 and Draws the foul, shooting 2 from FT, misses both. EK work offense from inbound, good pass from 4 to 12 gets easy put in for 2pts, AT waste possession, EK No12 drives baseline gets basket. AT throw up shot misses, good rebounds by EK, Foul by No5 AT, baseline ball EK, time out called 6mins to go, 18 -18. 12 for EK scores again. No15 AT drives to basket good hands from EK strips ball out of hands EK’s ball from baseline. AT go on fast break No5 scores 2, EK score 2 back, then AT equal there 2 at the opposite end. Sunstitutions made by AT, EK have inbound but lose possession AT offense, No15 EK steals ball but No15 AT block the fast break lay-up, EK recover the ball and No4 EK scores deep 2. 22-24 to EK. No14 EK drives but good D by No15 AT stops the basket by taking the charge. AT turnover the ball EK offense, No 5 steals the ball but misses the lay-up, EK ball No8 gets fouled makes 1 from 2 from the FT, AT turnover the ball, EK offense, EK move the ball well but lose possession. No10 At drives baseline and scores easy 2, EK turnover ball full court pass get No12 from AT 2pts. No8 goes to the line for 2 makes the 1st but misses the 2nd, but good boards from EK goet the ball bk but miss the chance to score, No15 take the ball up the court and scores 2, EK take baseline 2 and score, score each 28 with a min to go, AT work ball using the clock but turnover the ball, EK Offense with 30 secs left, No14 gets ball in the post scores the 2 and gets fouled but misses the extra point. Quarter finishes 28-30 to EK. Very close game, not much between the teams.

3rd Quarter
EK Ball from the start, AT move the ball well, but iss the chance to score, EK on the counter get a deep 2 from No9. AT turn the ball overagain on offence. No15 AT drives to basket and fades away but missis the 2, EK get a quick 2 at the other end, No15 EK fakes his defeder and draws a shooting foul, he’ll take 2 from the FT after the timeout. score 34 – 28 to Kings. No15 makes his 1st FT and the 2nd. AT on offense struggle to put the ball in the basket but get 4 OR and get the ball on the baseline. another solid Defence from EK to shut out AT, AT ball on the baseline and 15 scores a baseline 2 buzzbeater, No8 EK returns with a 3pointer score 39 – 30 to EK with 5mins to go. Steal from No 7 AT but again fail to convert. AT caught on the fast break full court pass made by 8, 15 drwas the foul and is shoots 2 from the FT. No 4 picks off a pass and pushes the ball ahead and 12 scores 2 for EK. taking a 13 point lead with jus under 3mins to go. EK take a Time out. EK ball from the baseline, turnover AT ball No5 scores 2 from baseline, EK on offense, put up a shot No4 gets OR and 15 get a shot over No15 AT for 2pts. No12 AT drives to basket and draws a shooting foul, shooting 2 from FT, misses 1st and misses 2nd but No15 grabs a huge rebound gets the put back and the foul and goes to the line for one more but misses. No4 EK drives to basket against 12 AT and drwas the foul, shooting 2 from the line makes the 1st and AT get the rebound on the 2nd. AT on offense No 9 drives to basket and get an easy lay-up. Score 46-36 30 secs to go. No 12 drives to basket for AT draws another foul and shoots 2 from the line making them both. No8 drives to basket No.15 AT plays good D and get the rebound after the missed shot. Quarter finishes 46-38 to Kings. The kings increased there lead early in the 1sr half of the 3rd but the AT hussled hard and brought it back from a 13 point lead to an 8 point lead.
4th Quarter
AT start with the ball but turnover straight away, No14 EK scores 2 from in the paint. No8 EK gets called for shirt pulling on 15 AT. AT are pressing the ball from the inbound, and EK get called for 8secs AT ball. No9 AT drives and gets blocking foul, shooting 2 from the line misses the 1st and the 2nd. No.15 AT and No14 EK fight for a rebound 15 come out on top. No4 gets the steal but 15 AT hussles back and get the block but give up possession, but steal the ball bk from a weak pass from EK. £ and half minutes into the 4th score still 48-38 EK. 14 AT and 12 EK fight for rebound AT come out on top. No 15 fouled, takes 2 from the line makes 1 from 2. EK give another turn over AT’s possession. No 9 AT drives baseline and draws the foul, EK have 5 team fouls. No9 shooting 2 misses both. No8 EK get doubled teamed and gets the foul, No 14 EK gets OR and shooting 2 from the line makes 1 from 2. EK still holding onto a 10point lead, 39-49. AT get called for 24sec violation, solid D from EK, No 14 scores a deep 2. AT take a time-out, 39-51 with 4 and half minutes to go. EK inbound, AT press hard for the turnover and get it in there own half. No8 makes a good full court pass but 15 fails to score. EK have the ball on offense but a weak pass gives AT the ball. Another TO and EK have the ball and No8 drives to the basket and gets 2 to take a 14point lead, No15 gets a deep 2 after a TO from AT. Excellent pass and cut from 14 to 15 and 15 At scores the bucket and draws the foul but misses the extra point. No14 Ek blocks a baseline shot from No10, AT ball from sideline. 1min 10sec to go score 41 – 55. EK set offense but give a TO to AT. AT do 5 for 5 subs, No11 scores 3 pointer from the off, 14 answers bk with 2pts and 15secs to go. AT miss a shot and EK hold onto the ball and run out the clock. The Tornadoes worked hard and gave the Kings a run for there money in the middle of the quarter, but The Kings were the better team taking more of there chances and deserved the win.
