This weekend sees City of Edinburgh Kings and Clark Eriksson Fury play host to Franklin and Marshall College from the USA.
Franklin and Marshall under coach Glenn Robinson went to the NCAA Division III Final Four in 2008-09 and Centennial Conference Champions and Elite Eight last season. They finished last season with a 26-5 record and should prove a tough pre-season test from last year’s Scottish Legaue Winners (Kings) and Cup Winners (Fury)
Games will take place at Portobello on Saturday and Mariner on Sunday with the both Scottish sides looking to prepare for the new season, which will see the Scottish Men’s League increase to 10 teams.
New teams Stirling Knights, Glasgow Rocks, 2010 Chairman’s Cup Winners Glasgow University and a returning Dunfermline Reign who last competed in the league in 2006 will all join Kings and Fury along with East Lothian Peregrines, St Mirren Reid Kerr College, Glasgow Storm and Troon Tornadoes for the 2010-11 season which starts on September 17/18/19th.
